Webster followed his 21 point on 7-of-13 shooting, 13 rebound game with a 6 point on 3-of-10 shooting, 4 rebound game. We emphasized his inconsistency as an issue with having him on your fantasy team. The problem is that if he shoots poorly early in the game, the coach won’t have much patience and probably take him out pretty quickly. That will limit his minutes and fantasy production — highlighted by his 21 minutes on the floor today.

Martell Webster started for the Trailblazers because McMillian believes that Brandon Roy cannot operate without the ball.   Therefore, he apparently believes Andre Miller is better off backing him up instead of starting alongside him — hence Webster, the Definition, got the start.  He posted a nice line (21 pts, 7-13 FGs, career high 13 rebounds) tonight as the starting SF for Portland but don’t expect him to keep that up.  While Webster definitely has the talent to post these kinds of numbers every night, he’s highly inconsistent.
