Allen Iverson

Allen Iverson met with the 76er’s today before Philly’s game vs Dallas. According to 76er coach Eddie Jordan, he described the discussion as being “good” and “intriguing” and that Allen Iverson was “charming”. He also said that AI would bring an offensive mindset and be another potential weapon for the team. It sounds that Eddie Jordan is on board with bringing Iverson to the team. We should find out in the next couple of days whether AI will be a Sixer or not.

Elton Brand

Looks like Elton Brand will sit out tonight’s game. He’s out with a sore right hamstring. He’s listed as day-to-day.

Danny Granger

Danny Granger won’t play tonight due to a sprained left MCL. This injury might cause him to be out for a few games. Tyler Hansbrough is the most direct beneficiary of this injury and Dahntay Jones will probably get a few extra minutes as well. Jeff Foster might also come in and play some PF while Granger is out.

Allen Iverson

Allen Iverson may have finally hung his hat. AI’s personal mgr Gary Moore tells Y! Sports AI is retiring. This is very sad news for NBA fans and Fantasy Basketball fans. We still feel AI has a few more good years ahead of him and is finally healthy. But it’s a long season and who knows what injury to what PG/SG in the NBA may cause Iverson to come out of retirement.

Tyreke Evans

Tyreke Evans has a sprained ankle and may be out today against New York. He’s listed as questionable but our guess is that the Kings will rest him today.

Lou Williams

Lou Williams is out today with a broken jaw. Jrue Holiday is expected to start in his place tonight.

Elton Brand

Elton Brand is still listed as a game-time decision tonight. He left last night’s game with a sore right hamstring. Considering that Elton Brand is a trooper, we expect him to give it a go tonight.

Dahntay Jones

Dahntay Jones came off the bench last game for Indiana. He had 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting, 0 rebounds, and 4 assists. It looks like he’s the early casualty of Troy Murphy’s return. Brandon Rush has a tenuous hold of the starting position and if he falters, look for Jones to take over the starting spot.

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant had a monster night with 34 points on 14-of-20 shooting, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. A very nice all-around game for Kobe and an easy win for the Lakers. The Lakers look almost unbeatable since the return of Pau Gasol.

Mike Dunleavy

Mike Dunleavy probably won’t be back until next week at the very earliest. Pacers beat writer Mike Wells said, “I’d be shocked if he played before the West Coast trip next week.” There’s no reason to rush Dunleavy’s return now that Jeff Foster and Troy Murphy are both back. Brandon Rush and Dahntay Jones have filled in nicely in Dunleavy’s absence.

Kevin Garnett

Kevin Garnett was recently kicked in the knee. He was also limping on Sunday’s game against New York. “His surgery has healed, but he’s had discomfort in his shins,” Danny Ainge explained. “KG wouldn’t be playing right now if he wasn’t confident. And he wouldn’t be playing if he was hurt.”

Danny Granger

Danny Granger scored 36 points, hit 7 threes, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. A nice all-around game for Granger who has played every game and has never scored less than 18 points in a game so far this year.

Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis continues rack up stats notching a season-high 37 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals. He did, however, turn the ball over 11 times. He’ll continue to see 40+ minutes per game and get lines like this on a regular basis while the injured Warriors recover.

Elton Brand

Elton Brand left in the 3rd Quarter of Tuesday’s game with a sore right hamstring. He’s listed as day-to-day and will be evaluated after the game. He had an off night hitting only 1-of-9 shots for 4 points and 7 rebounds tonight.

Jarrett Jack

Jarrett Jack had a perfect shooting night hitting 7-of-7 shots, 3-of-3 from 3PT land for 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. It’ll be interesting to see how long it’ll take the coach to give him a shot at the starting job over rookie DeMar DeRozan.

Chris Douglas-Roberts

Chris Douglas-Roberts was plagued by foul trouble tonight scoring only 4 points on 1-of-6 shooting. The return of Devin Harris and Courtney is obviously going to hurt CDR’s production but we still feel he will be a healthy contributor to your fantasy team. If you can sell high on him, do so now while CDR’s nights of 27, 31, and 24 point games are still fresh on people’s minds.

Rafer Alston

Rafer Alston played well tonight scoring 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting. He also dished out 3 assists and added 2 steals. It doesn’t appear he’ll stay in the starting lineup much longer with Devin Harris and Courtney Lee both back from injury.

Chauncey Billups

Chauncey Billups had a slow night hitting only 1-of-8 shots but did grab 4 rebounds and dish out 7 assists. He played only 28 minutes as the Nuggets cruised to a

C.J. Watson

C.J. Watson, who has recovered from the H1N1 virus, is cleared to play Wednesday. The Warriors are really going to need him considering that only 6 players played tonight, 3 of them logging all 48 minutes of the game.

Mehmet Okur

Mehmet Okur is expected to start Tuesday against the Thunder. He’s been out sick with flu-like symptoms (and no, it’s not H1N1).
